Equine Voices Rescue & Sanctuary's mission is to rescue equines from neglect, abuse, abandonment and slaughter. Additionally, we rehabilitate, adopt and/or provide a safe and loving sanctuary to those equines who need a forever home. Through education, we empower individuals to learn about Premarin and horse slaughter.

We are EXPANDING!

We are excited to announce that Equine Voices is expanding to the East Coast!

Our founder and executive director, Karen Pomroy, saw a need to further spread our message to the other side of the country; to bring awareness to the wild mustang plight, the Premarin industry, and the rampant abuse and mistreatment of equines.

17 acres of pasture in South Carolina has been acquired and several of our current equine residents will relocate to this property allowing us to help even more equines in need

Call to Action:

As we welcome 2026, the year of the fire horse, we look forward to continuing to provide a happy, healthy, and safe home for our rescued equines. Whether Arizona, or South Carolina, every soul is worth protecting!

Before and after stories of Equine Voices Rescue & Sanctuary!

Angelique:

This sweet girl was near death when she arrived at Equine Voices in the middle of the night on August 22, 2022. She had been dragged and had open wounds of her back left hip that required 6 weeks of intensive care at Arizona Equine Medical & Surgical Centre in Gilbert.

Through an overwhelming show of support, we were able to bring Angelique, our beautiful Arabian girl, to her best life. She will never again know the pain or abuse of her former life, and we have you to thank for that!

Today, she stands as a reminder for what we have been called to do ... rescue the hardest cases that no one else will.

Annabelle:

This big beautiful mare was abandoned in the desert with a chronic infection of her leg, 600 pounds underweight, but with a fire in her soul and an instant connection to our hearts.

After a year of special supplementation, and daily medication to combat her chronic infection, she is back at a healthy weight, her infection is managed, and she is absolutely thriving!

She loves her days with Lucky, and is a ham for attention to anyone that comes near the corral.

With the sweet, comes the sour

In animal rescue work, we sometimes have have to accept the heartbreaking reality that we can't always fix it

Summer Rain is a perfect example

This sweet angel girl was rescued just days after Angelique, from the same area of Tucson, Arizona.

She had been left to die alone in the desert, and although we were not able to save her...we were blessed to be able to bring her to a place of safety and peace for her last days on Earth.

We cannot do this without your help! Every single dollar makes a difference!

Did you know our monthly operating cost is approximately $65,000 per month?
